Tuesday brought more of the same in Ensenada, for our routine has now been established. We get up, we go to chapel, we eat breakfast, we head to the work site, we build, teach, play, love on the kids, swing a hammer! But....everything has changed! We are now a team. We are living in community under the Lordship of Jesus. We are seeing people act in loving ways, treating each other as they would treat themselves. Helpful, concerned, caring. It is a beautiful thing.
In our day we did drywall, roofing and trim work on the houses and at the vacation bible school we got to see the kids begin to open up and trust us more. The kids we are serving are primarily the children of field workers. As such, the children are left to supervise the other children as the parents spend the majority of daylight hours working in the fields.
Please keep us in your prayers as we have several people feeling under the weather, primarily from dehydration.
